I would actually say that there is no typical process. Everyone I've worked with has needed something a little bit different which is something that I love. It really depends on whether you want to purchase one of our house collections or if you're looking for semi-custom.
If you order something from our pre-set design, then I'll get straight to work using the details you provided with the order, before sending over electronic proofs. With pre-set designs I aim to get electronic proofs to you within 48 hours, although it can take up to 5 days in exceptionally busy periods. As soon as you have confirmed that you're happy with the designs, I'll send them to print. They should arrive with you 7-10 days after this.
With semi-bespoke or bespoke designs I've found it can take a little bit longer to get from order to print as it's a very iterative process. I like to arrange a phone call or Zoom if you're looking for semi-custom stationery as I've found this is the best way to discuss your ideal invites. Once I've got the brief, I'll go away to work on some designs and before sending over proofs. Once we're agreed on the design then I'll send them to print and you can expect your designs to arrive within 7-10 days.
Your invitations will be delivered to you wrapped plastic free, grouped together by item. Instructions will be provided for how to correctly assemble your wedding suite. If you would prefer that it is sent pre-assembled then this can be arranged. For orders of 50 suites or less there is a £25 charge. For orders of 51-100 suites there is a £50 charge. Well, the design process is identical to printed invites. I'll still do all of the design and editing work, but you will receive PDF files with your finished designs, rather than printed copies. This means that you can print the designs yourself, or email them directly to your guests. I always provide instructions for printing, but if you do have any questions then I'm more than happy to help.

We always recommend ordering extra (known as overages). The standard is to order 10 extra or 15% more, whichever is greater so if you need 30 invites, order 40, but if you need 80 then order 94. This is to cover any invites that get lost in the post, extras guests and keepsakes.
There is a minimum order of 30 per item on all pre-wedding stationery and on the day stationery excluding signage and table numbers. If you are looking to order less than 30 invites, please contact us for a quote.
Where designs are colour customisable, colour options are included in the listing. Due to licencing restrictions, not all products can be colour customised. If you see a design you like but it's not available in a colour to match your theme then please contact us to discuss semi-custom options.
Wording on invites is completely customisable. The text colours on the invites are carefully chosen to match the design, but we are always happy to change the text colour to any colour you would like and can advise about complementing colours. Foiled text (gold, silver and rose gold) is available for an additional price, as this involves sending your stationery to a specialist printer - please contact us for a quote.
If you would like to have an existing design added to the reverse of an item (i.e. details card printed on the reverse of your invite) then there is a fee of £15.
Once you have placed your order with me and finalised the design, the printing and finishing can take up to two weeks to be completed. This is because my printing is outsourced to a professional printing company to ensure you get the very best quality possible. Customers who leave their stationery a little too late often ask if I am able to rush their job through quicker. This option is sometimes available, but there is an additional fee of £100.
I cannot copy another stationery design. Designers work incredibly hard to create wonderful invites, and it wouldn't be fair to undermine that. I hope that you'll find something you love here, but if you don't you can always get in touch to see what I can do.
If you would like a printed proof of your design, the cost for this is £25 due to the printing set up costs for a single print. I would recommend ordering a standard sample if you want to get a clear idea of colour.
As a small stationer, we are only able to take a limited number of stationery orders every month. We advise customers to provisionally order your stationery once you have secured your date and venue to ensure that we can get your invites shipped to you in a timely manner. Once you've ordered, we will agree a date to send your designs to print and you should received your invites within 2 weeks of this date.
Due to the changing situation Covid-19, we are offering unlimited date and venue changes until the agreed printing date. And if you need to postpone your wedding date, we can postpone printing too so you have peace of mind.
If you have ordered digital stationery and need to change your date, then please contact us. We offer one free date change on digital products, however more extensive changes (such as changes to venues and details) may be subject to further design charges.
